Property and Cancellation Policies


50% Deposit required upon booking, the remaining balance due 14 days prior to arrival

100% of Full Stay is charged if cancelled within 14 days of arrival or in the event of a no-show





Terms and Conditions



Cancellation and No-Show Policy:


As a small, independent property, we ask for your understanding in respecting our cancellation, change and no-show policy. Please read carefully.

 


Reservation booked through travel agencies and outside sources:

Our best rates and most flexible cancellation policies are available when you book directly with our hotel. For reservations booked through online travel agencies, travel agents, or other third-party sources, the cancellation and no-show policy that applies will be the policy stated on the booking confirmation sent by the booking agency. Non-refundable reservations booked through online travel agencies are strictly nonrefundable and no rebooking policy applies. We strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance if you are traveling during periods of inclement weather or you have other reasons to suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.

 


Reservations booked directly with us:

If you must change, shorten or cancel your reservation, you must do so within the timeframe indicated on your reservation confirmation for a full refund. Reservations may be canceled within 24 hours of booking with no cancellation fee. 

 

If a reservation is canceled or shortened after the cancellation period expires, the guest is responsible for full payment of the original reservation unless the room(s) is re-booked (see Rebooking policy below).

 

Changes or cancellations must be made via email to reservations@victoriahousestx.com, and you must receive a confirmation email from Victoria House. There are no refunds for early departure.



Inclement Weather Policy:

Please understand that we cannot be responsible for inclement weather or other causes for delays and cancellations at your point of origin or the locations you may connect through when traveling to visit us. We strongly advise you to purchase travel insurance if you are traveling during periods of inclement weather or you have other reasons to suspect you may need to cancel your reservation. We thank you for your understanding!



No-Shows:

No-shows are responsible for the full amount of the original reservation, including taxes and fees.



Rebooking Policy:

If you cancel your reservation after the cancellation period expires, we will attempt to re-book your room. If your room is re-booked, you will only be responsible for a processing fee equal to 10% (plus tax) of the original reservation amount. You may receive a refund or use it as a credit for future stays. If your room does not re-book, you are responsible for the full payment of the original reservation. Please note that our re-booking policy applies only to reservations booked directly through the hotel and it does not apply to reservations made through travel agents, online booking platforms or other third parties.

 


Full property rentals when hosting an event:

Your agreement will specify the terms of your rental and the specific cancellation policy that applies. If you do not have an agreement, our regular cancellation policy at the time of your booking applies.

 


Other Policies:


Credit Card Authorization and Payment:

A valid credit card is required to make a reservation. We accept all major credit cards. Your credit card will be charged a 50% deposit upon booking, and the remaining amount of the full reservation at the time the cancellation period expires (see Cancellation and Change Policy above for cancellation periods).



Housekeeping:

We recently resumed daily housekeeping.. This is optional, and if you would not like this service please inform us during your stay.



Minimum Age:

You must be 21 years of age or older to rent or stay in a room at our property without a parent present.



Occupancy:

All guest rooms accommodate double occupancy, with the exception of The Starfish and The Sunset which accommodate 4 guests maximum. Prior authorization must be granted for additional guests per room. A $100 per night plus tax usage fee will be charged for unauthorized guests beyond the allowed occupancy limit per room. If you would like a rollaway bed, please request them in advance as they are first come first served. There will be a $30/night plus tax fee for the rollaway bed.



Smoking:

Our entire property is NON-SMOKING by USVI law. If you would like to smoke, please exit the facility and cross the street. There are multiple benches to sit and enjoy the waterfront. If we find that smoking occurred indoors, you will be charged an additional $250 cleaning fee.



Quiet Time 11pm-7am:

Please respect other guests. If there are any problems related to noise please let us know right away. 

Please no unregistered guests. It is our honor to have you stay with us and provide you with the safest experience.



Check In time is any time after 3pm:

We currently are offering contactless self-checkin. We will email you 2 days prior to checking with instructions on how to access the property and your room.


Check Out time is at 11am.



Missing/Broken Items:

If we find that any items are missing or damaged during the checkout cleaning process, you will be charged against your security deposit, or credit card. This includes beach towels and any other item on property. 



No Pets Allowed:

Though you might see the wild neighborhood hens & roosters roaming the property, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate pets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.



Hotel Accessibility:

 Our small historic hotel has 8 units, only one on the ground floor, and we have no elevator. Please inquire about the location and layout of any rooms before booking to ensure it will fit your needs. 



Lost and Found:

The hotel is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal property. In the event a lost item is found after a guest’s departure, Victoria House will make every reasonable attempt to contact the guest and return the item at the guest’s expense. Unclaimed items in the hotel’s lost and found which are not claimed within thirty (30) days will be donated to a local charity or discarded.



Rules and Regulations:

We try to not have too many of them, and we thank you for reading our policies. We hope you will love every minute of your stay at Victoria House, and know how much we appreciate having you as our guest. We welcome and sincerely appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns or correct problems immediately — we want your stay to be great. If there’s anything we can do to improve our odds of achieving greatness, we hope you will let us know.
